Pierre Cardin began designieing after the second world war. He used his time for designing as a way in which to recreate the fashion world. He was inspired by and created pieces for the space race. He is attributed for identifying China as a market as well as designing the caccoon coat, trapezoidal cut, and the bubble dress.
